Episode: With A Little Help From My Friends

Hello there, little ones!

Welcome back to Oma’s Reading Room!

It has been awhile since we have been together

and Oma has missed you all

very much!

It can be lonely when we are apart from those we care about.

It can make us sad when this happens,

but we can all feel better with a little help.

And today’s book does just that!

With a Little Help from My Friends

written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney

are the lyrics from one of the Beatle’s more popular songs

– which has been adapted into this beautiful book,

illustrated by Henry Cole.

I hope you’ll join me in Oma’s Reading Room as two friends realize that all they need is their

friendship

and

love

no matter how far apart they are

from one another!

Until next time,

remember Oma is sending you her

hugs and her blessings

I hope you’ll catch them and hold them

real tight!

Bye-Bye!

Episode: My Brother Otto

Hello there, little ones!

Welcome back to Oma’s Reading Room –

a place for us to be together,

read together,

and hopefully share a giggle or two!

Did you know the month of April is World Autism month?

Every April Autism Speaks celebrates World Autism Month – beginning with United Nations sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. Throughout the month, they focus on sharing stories and providing opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism, all in an important effort of fostering worldwide support.

Oma has several little friends who have Autism and she has found the PERFECT story about how love, acceptance, and a little understanding can go a long way, to read with all of you!

My Brother Otto

Written by Meg Raby

&

Illustrated by Elisa Pallmer

is a wonderful story about a very special crow who helps us see the world in a brighter shade of yellow.

I do hope you’ll join me in Oma’s Reading Room to read along!

Until next time …

Oma is sending you

her hugs and her blessings!

I do hope you’ll catch them and

hold them real tight.

Bye-Bye!
