A long long time ago, before I was ever an Oma, I use to travel to local elementary schools and share story-time with students in their classrooms or their libraries.
Oma has always loved reading to groups of children and I am very grateful for the many invitations received throughout the years to spend time with my little-friends in their classrooms & schools.
Sometimes Oma would even dress in character, so we could all use our imaginations better while reading the stories!
It was so much fun!!
Today’s story was the most requested book to be read at the many schools Oma was invited into, so I would always be sure to arrive in full-character for this particular book as…
SUZY the SMELL-CATCHER!!
All the children loved Suzy!
(Even adults, too!)
Big or little they always shared so many giggles together with Suzy about the many SMELLY things she was asked to dispose of!
Suzy was always sure to bring her “smell-catcher” case with her too – just incase the school had any smelly odors they needed captured in the school or classroom – while she was there.

However, Suzy would always tell the children the hardest smell to capture is the one depicted in the popular book Oma will be reading to you today :
DOG BREATH!!

Written & Illustrated by Dav Pilkey
Dog Breath is a story about a dog named Hally Tosis; who is a great family dog, but there is one rotten thing about her: her breath!
It is so smelly, Hally’s pet parents want to find a new home for her. The children, desperate to keep their beloved pet, try everything to rid Hally of her stinky stench.
I do hope you’ll join me in Oma’s Reading Room, where we will read along together this hysterical and fan-favorite picture book!
ANYONE who has ever had a dog with stinky breath is sure to relate to the story!
Until next time…
remember Oma is sending you her
hugs and her blessings!
I hope you’ll catch them and hold them
real tight!
Bye-Bye!
