Episode: The Polar Express

Hello, my little friends!

Do you have a favorite Christmas storybook you look forward to reading each Christmas Season?

One that you love so much you will read it over and over and over again?

Today’s book is one such book, loved by many:

The Polar Express!

Written & illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg

Oma’s own children, especially her oldest son, love this book too.

So much so, you probably will find a replica of The Polar Express train circling around his Christmas tree now that he is grown and older with a Christmas tree all to his own.

The Polar Express, written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg and published by Houghton Mifflin in 1985, is now widely considered to be a classic Christmas story for young children. It has often been praised for its detailed illustrations and calm, relaxing storyline; which has stood the test of time, and will be celebrating its 35th Anniversary in 2020!

I do hope you’ll meet Oma in her Reading Room and climb aboard The Polar Express, where we shall share together a magical adventure to the North Pole – and discover the joy believing in Christmas can bring!

“All aboard!”

THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride!

Theme Song, Big World Baby, by artist JJ Heller

Remember Oma is sending you her hugs & her blessings

I hope you’ll catch them and hold them real tight

– until we meet again next time –

in Oma’s Reading Room!

Bye-Bye!
